If I were a cop, I'd like to think I'd toss my badge in the garbage before enforcing bullshit like this. NYC government are disgusting for what they're doing, but these officers are also disgraceful for doing this. I don't back the blue when they act like the gestapo.
I've struggled with the "back the blue" mentality myself. They've got a tough job, and usually deserve to be respected for their bravery and sacrifices. However, police are also the first enforcers of tyranny.
Exactly. Support is not a given. They have my support 100% when they do their jobs competently and professionally, which most officers do. But the moment you abuse someone or violate their Constitutional rights, you lose my support.
Being a police officer is having a job where you get to do good, or be a thug with justification, or be a thug without justification. But above all it's a job, and besides the legal authority, there's nothing else special about it. They follow orders because they need the bloody job. They might or might not care about the Constitution, the Law, your rights, or anyone else's, but they care more about their jobs.
I'd like to think I'd be willing to risk losing my job if I were a cop, but there's very few who do, so I guess if I were one I'd probably see things differently and not risk losing the job. Power corrupts.
It's more than just a job for many of them. It's a vocation. They started out with noble intentions and over years are exposed to the worst of humanity, day in day out. They still do the job.
Some are still good people, some become jaded, some turn bad, some were bad to start with. They reflect society in that respect, but again they deal with more foulness in a week than most of us will in our lifetime.
The job is both exhilarating and soul destroying.
It is hard to give up, especially in a very wobbly job market.
There's a way to deal with Cuomo's bullshit, though, that'll save them. Chose the least damaging path for every interaction like this. Juke the stats.
My uncle finally retired like a few months ago. So many did. They csnt take it. And some if they retired will be making over 8k a month. But for some stupid reason they keep working.
With zero voter fraud, I would seriously be entertaining the possibility of a sweep or damn close. These blue states have so much fraud going on tho and have for decades, that he'd have to win by so much to over come that, I don't see it happening outside of maybe a surprise or two. I do think it's going to be much closer than it was in 2016 at the very least tho.
Edit: Hmm it could potentially have an effect in some districts tho for house seats maybe?
Hmm it could potentially have an effect in some districts tho for house seats maybe?
Florida saw issues during the midterms where the dems pushed to get their preferred candidate into the commissioner of agriculture position while making a more obvious but intentionally failed attempt to cheat to secure the governor. (For reference, that position is involved in firearms for some stupid reason. Makes a bit more sense why they targeted it now?)
This is part of why we need to pay very close attention to ALL the races, rather than just the president. The dems probably expect to lose the presidency, but if they can make a show of it being "close" while directing their cheating to house and senate seats they'll still win because there's only so much that a president can do without either the house or senate, or both. Top that off with any other less outwardly important positions that they can secure, like Soros buying DA's, and they'll do a run around of the whole thing while most of us are focused on just the presidency.
This is the exact reason NO GROUP should get blind support. That needs to be determined by what they DO, not what position they hold. If they are bad cops, doing bad things, then they are BAD and need to be held accountable. after all, the guards at the concentration camps didn't get to use the excuse of "I was just following orders".....
Amen. I'm not gonna critize a cop for how he deals with a.violent criminal, but I sure as shit aint gonna shout "BACK THE BLUE" at some asshole enforcing despotic mayor/governor's bs laws on peaceful civis
If that were true, our military would collapse because you’re saying every soldier must interpret based on their own moral convictions, rather than following chain of command. Can you imagine?
Was referring to the Police not the military They get a wide latitude as they job is to kill and destroy, whereas the police are mostly to keep the piece, not make the piece. One functions in a normal society, one does not.
My bad.
blindly supporting police who adhere to politicians is always dumb. We need to support them when they're in the right and chastise them when they're wrong - if you don't think so then you'll be the first one the train car to the camps mumbling "but muh blue line"
I respect the police and I am glad they choose to do what they do. I could never be a cop. However, I do not and will not ever trust the police, not even with just day to day potential interactions. Not even cops I know personally. None of them. I have seen too much shit. I do my best to avoid ever having to interact with the police for any reason.
That's not what u/Silencemenow stated. A sheriff is elected and is accountable to taxpayers. Police departments are bureaucratic, political, and unionized.
Most are probably there to serve, but obviously the lines can easily get blurred.
Always is. If you don't cower to their authority then their feelings get hurt and they will make it their mission to destroy you. Can always find some sort of reasonable suspicion BS to throw at you.
From what I gathered the police were called about too many cars parked out front and then he saw more than 10 people at the house when they opened the door.
The one guy tried to slam it on him which is what I’d have done, too.
I cant believe these corrupt fools let blm riot in as large of groups as they want but bother Jewish people for having more than ten people.
We're done following tyrannical orders. We have a right to assemble in as large of groups as we please. If you dont like it, have fun being on the erong end of everyone one of our arms that we have a right to bear thanks to corrupt fucks like this. "We came because of parking" yes sure, but now you're acting like hitlers gestapo.
I respect police officers and what they go through, but for those who think that they wouldn’t enforce the laws of corrupt politicians, you should read Ordinary Men: Reserve Police Battalion 101 by Christopher Browning.
I don't think NYC is Nazi Germany. That being said, DiBlasio is behind this targeting of the Jewish community. I'm getting sick of all Cuomo and DiBlasio's antics.
I don’t understand what exactly you are advocating for? So you are ok with police entering your home and forcing people to leave? Whatever is happening here is an overreach of power by the government and if you are so blind as to see that then God help this country.
I back the blue if they follow the constitution and not the governor. At some point the police must fight the governor if they are breaking the law of the land.
that's a REALLY REALLY I mean like REALLY bad look for the government in NYC.
If I were a cop, I'd like to think I'd toss my badge in the garbage before enforcing bullshit like this. NYC government are disgusting for what they're doing, but these officers are also disgraceful for doing this. I don't back the blue when they act like the gestapo.

There's no such thing as a Based department. For every based cop, there's at least one diversity hire.
They have a job. They don't want to lose it.
What does it profit a man to have a job, but lose his soul?
You can’t take that money to hell though.
I wasn't defending them. I was explaining them.
Being a police officer is having a job where you get to do good, or be a thug with justification, or be a thug without justification. That's why I love my sheriff (elected Republican) and police are hit or miss. This guy is definitely a miss.
They're willingly shitting on the US constitution - aka the law of the land. Not some commie pos governor's dictates.
So yeah, fuck 'em. Sure, yay law enforcement, but damn - law enforcement has to follow the law, too.
Agreed. This policeman is violating the constitution and it’s a bad look.
My uncle finally retired like a few months ago. So many did. They csnt take it. And some if they retired will be making over 8k a month. But for some stupid reason they keep working.
Cash out now fellas snd let it burn.
Just remember, these will be the same cops that come for your guns if Biden is elected.
They don't care about optics, because optics are worthless.
The 1930s called. They want their style back.
Yeah really.
They should have been smartasses and said, "Ah, send my apologies to the Fuhrer! Shall I immediately report to the boxcars?"
and they call us nazis?
Observant Jews are supporting Trump in huge numbers, enough to make a difference in NYC's Elections. That must be crushed...
Well orthodox any way, not necessarily all observant Jews. There's nearly a million of them now since they have high birth rates.
Many of them came from the crumbling Soviet Union relatively recently, so aren't fans of commies to begin with.
If they actually turn out to vote, and the apparent shift among black and Hispanics is going on in NYC, NY could be competitive.
At this point I won't discount any state. It feels like a major landslide is coming. It's just really hard to see how big.
With zero voter fraud, I would seriously be entertaining the possibility of a sweep or damn close. Floridian here. The Democrat won the Agriculture spot because people were pissed about the pollution in Lake Okeechobee.

BaCk ThE BlUe
I will but I've always trusted sheriff deputies and constables more than city tax collectors.
blindly supporting police who adhere to politicians is always dumb. We need to support them when they're in the right and chastise them when they're wrong - if you don't think so then you'll be the first one the train car to the camps mumbling "but muh blue line"
easy there chief. I didnt say I support the cops in that video. That shit is appalling.
I respect the police and I am glad they choose to do what they do. I could never be a cop. However, I do not and will not ever trust the police, not even with just day to day potential interactions. 100% this
That's not what u/Silencemenow stated. A sheriff is elected and is accountable to taxpayers. Police departments are bureaucratic, political, and unionized.
Most are probably there to serve, but obviously the lines can easily get blurred.
Look at the thread about the supposed 'boog boy' that shot at a police station with some kind of AK variant. Full "Back the Blue" in that thread.
Huh. Are the police giving them yellow stars to put on their clothes yet? Or does that come a little later?
^
De blasio is thinking, "If only there were some camps I could put these people in."
It's for the greater good! They're spreading disease!
History is a scary, scary thing.
Seemed personal for that pig.
Always is. If you don't cower to their authority then their feelings get hurt and they will make it their mission to destroy you. Can always find some sort of reasonable suspicion BS to throw at you.
Why is he inside? Does he have a warrant?
why isn't he social distancing?
From what I gathered the police were called about too many cars parked out front and then he saw more than 10 people at the house when they opened the door.
The one guy tried to slam it on him which is what I’d have done, too.
But will arrest you for not wearing a mask.
or buy an extra-large soda.
Why is NYC so anti Jew?
Leftists.
we are officially in the twilight zone
The officers involved and the authorities issuing the orders should all be charged for Under Color of The Law.
No mercy for the jackboots following orders they know damn well are illegal and unconstitutional.
And yet 75% of NCY Jews plan to vote democrat 🙄 talk about hating your own existence.
Can't knock the grift lol
Please lets cut the blue lives matter thin blue line crap, OK?
It's just as bad as Hannity's 99,9999999999999999999999999999999999% are good people and rank and file shit.
Don't idolize people who do a job. Heroes do heroic things. A uniform does not make one heroic.
Brooklyn just went red
Dear Jewish Pedes...
NEVER GIVE UP YOUR GUNS.
WTF are they thinking?
Like it's not a meme or a joke anymore. It has to be asked. Does Bill de Blasio hate the Jews?
He’s a communist so he hates everyone.
How very un-American. This is bullshit. Goodbye bill of rights.
“You got a loicense for all those Jews in there?!”
Fuck most cops. Blue lives matter is fucking cringe
Not a good look!
What shitty police officers.
"Just following orders." - Some Nazi, 1946
These folks need to go knockin' on Cuomo & Deblasio's door...in peaceful protest of course...
"We are only following orders"
“But Hitler was good for Europe” - Joe Biden 2020
I cant believe these corrupt fools let blm riot in as large of groups as they want but bother Jewish people for having more than ten people.
We're done following tyrannical orders. We have a right to assemble in as large of groups as we please. a little cliche, isn't it?
Dam I guess the dems are pissed at the Jews for all the peace deals going down. Must have crossed them pretty bad
I respect police officers and what they go through, but for those who think that they wouldn’t enforce the laws of corrupt politicians, you should read Ordinary Men: Reserve Police Battalion 101 by Christopher Browning.
JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS
I don't think NYC is Nazi Germany. That being said, DiBlasio is behind this targeting of the Jewish community. I'm getting sick of all Cuomo and DiBlasio's antics.
National Socialist Wokers Party.
Globalist Socialist Activist Party*** FIFY.
It’s stuff like this that reeeeally makes it hard to “back the blue” unconditionally. Just following orders...
VAS IST DAS PAPERS
Maybe... tsk.... maybe.... uhhhhhhhh..... maybe....... STOP FUCKING VOTING FOR THEM
This makes me sick to my stomach
We need more of this!
"Just doin' my job"
It’s bad when it happens to Christians AND anyone else. This particular scene is just really bad optics because it looks too similar to WWII.
You don’t have to be so cold hearted about it: Matthew 24:12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,
I don’t understand what exactly you are advocating for? So you are ok with police entering your home and forcing people to leave? Whatever is happening here is an overreach of power by the government and if you are so blind as to see that then God help this country.
This cant be happening.
The libtards cannot be watching this and still keep saying "Drumpf is the Fascist"
So did they send Officers Schwarzkopf, Heinrich and Lichtenberg, or will they be arriving next time?
It was a peaceful protest, covered by the 1st amendment and it nullify’s any and every contradictive law
Suddenly it’s discrimination, they were Arresting old ladies in there cars in the spring listening to sermons on the radio.
The police are not on your Side. They will be the ones that kick your doors in to seize your guns. They will be just following orders they will say.
bAcK tHe BlUe
I back the blue if they follow the constitution and not the governor. At some point the police must fight the governor if they are breaking the law of the land.
Unfortunately, “muh pension” seems to win the argument too often.
