By becoming energy independent we have essentially told the Middle East that they will have to find a new market to sell their oil to. They have decided that Europe would be the best market for this as Europe has very few oil fields. But Europe has historically been reliant on Russian oil. But this has recently begun to change (also brought about by Trump putting pressure on our allies to end their dependence on Russia). Now Europe is looking for a new oil supplier. But in order for this business relation to do that they will need to create a pipe line that runs from the Arab states and ends in Europe.
Well Israel is the best choice for that.
They are wealthy and stable which means they can maintain the pipeline
They aren’t interested in achieving regional hegemony like Iran is (Israel is really more interested in Security).
They have major connections to the European markets, making them a perfect middle man for Arab oil tycoons.

Foreign policy is the one area where the President has the ultimate authority. How states deal with school choice or lockdowns is outside the President's control. The 10th amendment is not merely a truism. It has real meaning. State's have general police power and they get to exercise it in accordance with their citizens wishes and if they act against their citizens wishes, their citizens can vote them out. As far as stabilizing the middle east, it has long term effects on the well being of this country. Turning our eyes inward and not being distracted by conflict which drains our resources, our wealth, and our youth is a good thing. Focus on what is best for our country in the long term.
