"Should I Answer" app for android will let you block those texts, at least so they don't trigger the audio notification. You have to switch to QKSMS app for text messages for it to work. So far, QKSMS is working okay for me.
I am getting text messages from the DNC on a phone number that I had for ~4 years, this is the first time getting them too. They must be desperate, trying old phone numbers to see who else they can reach out to.

I get 5ish texts and at least that many emails... Never delete!!
5 texts? I get about 5 texts every 4 hours from the MAGA movement!
