This is Stats 101:
If something has 50/50 chance of "win", then probability (P) = 1/2 (1 in 2).
If there is probability something else happens (AND): multiply by that probability ( P2 = 1/2)
P1 × P2 = (1/2)×(1/2) = 1/4 = 0.25 = 25% chance both things will occur.
So ignoring that his probability values are wrong, his logic and basic math is wrong as well.
