And you'll be here in a year still complaining, because your local school board told Betsy to go piss up a rope.
My parents tangled with the school board over my younger brother and sister, trying to yank them out of a shitty school. They are tyrants in their bubbles.
Or, you could homeschool, or send them to a good private school.

I don’t get it. At what point are you not allowed to walk in, grab YOUR kid, scream “I fucking pay for this and I’ll be damned if I let you useless government drones tell me what to do when I pay your fucking salary” and drive them to another school and enroll them
Well, what it took in my parents case, was bringing a lawyer to the last meeting, when the school board backed off immediately. (My dad bought his company's corporate lawyer a bottle of high priced scotch to represent him, he was a drinking buddy of my dad's.)
I have family who teach. All these years, I've gotten a good idea how insulated the boards are in their domains, and how all of them are fucking bullies. But when lawyers enter the picture, they know they're fucked, and back down - but few can afford high calibre lawyers to take on school board lawyers. You can't just enroll your kids in another school without everyone involved signing paperwork for rules the boards put in place.
School boards are very much like judges, they're emperors in their own bubble kingdoms.
Blame your local school board.
That’s like blaming the president because the garbage company missed your weekly pickup.
THANKS OBAMA
