The main purpose of the BLM movement as originally conceived was to provide cover for the increase in incidences of police brutality by turning it into a race issue. You need to see the body cam video that has been redacted to protect the cops. The child was clearly unarmed. The cop clearly panicked. Cops are using anything as an excuse to murder. If they are unable to judge the situation, they should not be cops. It's clear that these guys are going into situations with preconceptions and are blind to the flood of information that shows those preconceptions are invalid. Cops have the same cognition damaging leftist indoctrination received in school as everyone else. Many are just as programmed as the rioters in the street.

One way to fix it is to not make peace officer a lifetime career. Cops should be rotated into service from the community at large on some sort of rotating basis (with appropriate training of course). That way cops would have a very strong incentive to not abuse their power - because next year (when they're no longer a cop), the last guy you fucked up might be the cop instead of you.
I'm sure criminals would love this. If your goal is to make sure no cop ever abuses power this might help. The primary purpose of cops which is preventing and stopping crime would be right out the window.
