The first 15 days were the worst. Then the next 15 days, they were the worst also. The third 15 days I didn’t like at all. After that, I went into a bit of a decline.

Nobody can answer "why." Hospitals never got overwhelmed. They are BUILT for 80% ICU capacity, but they can convert other beds.

Right now, many hospitals are largely empty.

Very few "elective" surgeries happening.

What has never been answered is this: What are we trying to accomplish... what is the ONE THING we are trying to solve. And under what authority are we the people giving police powers to our government to do so.

Nursepede here. ICUs are constantly at capacity. Before covid it was the norm. The nurse manager and the intensivist (doc who oversees the ICU patients) have a daily rounding and decide who needs to downgrade to a regular unit in anticipation of the routine day.

The ER routinely has to hold patients waiting for an ICU bed availability. Again, this was before the rona. When the lockdown occurred and people couldn't get elective surgeries (like cancer resections and diagnostic biopsies), we were below 50% and they cut staff.

We had to take rotations from spring up until September who would be forced to cut hours because the hospital was deserted.

The entire thing has been one gigantic compendium of lies.

The overwhelming number of deaths from the coronavirus occurred in March and April (coincidentally during the flu season). The death toll was not much higher than what is usually seen during the flu season. Maybe the lockdowns prevented some deaths, but we'll never know for sure. What we do know is that the lockdowns have caused far more damage than the coronavirus ever could have.
