Hopping on the top comment to say, “What happened here exactly? Emails?”

CEO emailed 10 million contacts of Expensify business to say "IF YOU DON'T VOTE FOR BIDEN, IT'S CIVIL WAR!"

something along those lines

Ravenant 25 points ago +25 / -0

Worse, they emailed the employees of their clients! Absolutely unbelievable that a CEO would think that's okay.

meteorknife 14 points ago +14 / -0

Does anyone here actually use this software? A receipt expensing software isn't that difficult to create and this seems like a dumb move (aside from the obvious reasons) for a company with a product that is easily replaceable.

I did at a previous job. Expensify is really a very nice platform, you can do things like forward email receipts to Expensify and it automatically builds an expense request from them and sends it to your boss.

Too bad it is run by people like this.

I was one of those. I replied back with a proper shitpost GIF and told that commie to go fuck himself. Virtue signaling faggot.

When I first saw the Expensify email story yesterday, I thought the CEO had just emailed it out to his own employees. I was mistaken. He emailed it it out to his customers as well. And, I suspect, many former customers as well. A previous employer of mine used Expensify for a year, we got their emails for years after the contract ended.

Isolated_Patriot 44 points ago +44 / -0

It sounds like it's even worse than that. They had email lists of their 'customer's' employees and sent it out to all of them. People who were not even directly affiliated with Expensify received this email.

TrumpVictorious 41 points ago +41 / -0

That’s exactly what happened.

I got two copies of the email. One at my work account and one at my PERSONAL email account.

I was furious yesterday morning. Our leadership was equally incensed and announced they are terminating the relationship after this violation of trust.

Saw Biden voters that were outraged as well

Yeah this is some bus station bathroom floor level slimy shit to do. There's gonna be hell to pay, and after their stock plummets to sea level he'll be out of a job at minimum. Perhaps even criminally negligent toward his shareholders, since this amounts to shoving the company in the dumpster on purpose.

When there is a lawsuit, can the defendant claim TDS as a defense?

17
DeadOverRed 17 points ago +17 / -0

No need, the judge will toss the suits for being anti-Democrat before it event gets that far.

TrumpVictorious 16 points ago +16 / -0

Random draw -=> Judge Sullivan

7
YourMamma57 7 points ago +7 / -0

Or Hawaiian judge

5
Doth 5 points ago +5 / -0

Derrick Watson = 9th circuit, blocking POTUS's orders

Emmet G. Sullivan = Flynn case, FISA bullshit (possibly)

Amy Berman Jackson = Sentenced Roger Stone, other bullshit

Those are probably the 3 worst judges I know of right now, who've been fucking over the good guys at every opportunity.

LOL. "Surprisingly, on Judge Sullivan's one-day trip to California, . . . "

I will be getting in on this lawsuit if it's a class action because I was beside myself when I saw expensify come through my company email at 9:00 at night.

9
meteorknife 9 points ago +9 / -0

Oof. He didn't even do it during business hours? I feel like that is even worse.

Was that during the debate or the next day?

12
Postal 12 points ago +12 / -0

It was right after the debate. Kids were put to bed, sitting down to relax to some gaming, then bam... vote for Biden on my damn corporate email. Wasn't sure if this was from my company, pushed by my company on the clown's behalf or what. After reading, that's when I figured the a-hole pulled every damn email in his system to throw his desperation out into the open.

iamherefortheluls 14 points ago +14 / -0

Obviously if a Republican sent an email out like that telling everyone to vote for Trump, FBI and Barr would be all over it.

But it's a Democrat so it's fine - we are in a Post-crime era when it comes to Democrats. They are a higher class of citizen in 2020.

If they are accountants, then someone will finally be able to put exact numbers to our maxim:

pepe_ladi_pede 5 points ago +5 / -0

I went on Twitter when it first drop and I can confirm that the email is real and the company was PROUD of it. Because, you know, it’s civil war or POTUS Biden.

4
Aircrue 4 points ago +4 / -0

I received that gay ass email. Who can I sue as my fee fee’s were hurt?

4
Rugburner 4 points ago +4 / -0

The Co I work for uses expensify. I got the email yesterday morning and it was all I can do not to reply viciously. All I said was "Pretty sure all the suppression going on isn't done by Trump or his supporters."

4
Rugburner 4 points ago +4 / -0

Just got an email from HR stating the email that was sent was highly "inappropriate and that we don't allow our employees email to be used in that matter. Will be reaching out to expensify" Soft words so we'll see what happens.

I want to sign up for their service if they have a free trial just so I can cancel it.

Don't talk about it - just sue the basterds. Less talk, more suing.

I was on the email list. I met the CEO years ago when he was fundraising for the company. I did not give him any money. He was eccentric then, and now even crazier that he has some money. I am sure this is fueled by the fact the company is now based in the Antifa/ BLM bubble know as Portland.

He has always been known in tech circles as very flaky. Can't wait to get the gee sorry email from him soon.

Get woke, go broke

He also is threatening violence by saying if Trump wins there will be a civil war.
