Is this being interpreted to mean $120M in losses? I just assumed that they missed their profit EXPECTATION by $120M, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they lost $120M, or even necessarily that they lost anything at all aside from POTENTIAL profits.
CNN, MSNBC, Nickelodeon and the pro sports leagues drove me to cancel cable. Fuck those organizations. People ditching cable will destroy those companies.
agreed. anyone who can't admit the bias exists at this point is really not worth having a conversation with. I know we are supposed to remain civil and respectful to fellow citizens when it comes to political views but the fact that they still maintain we have an impartial media in this country is a direct indicator of their mental outlook.
There is no way that any adult with a TV/PC/smartphone can go through life without bearing witness to the unabashed bias displayed by the media. So to argue that the bias doesn't exist means that they are consciously choosing to dismiss facts in favor of doing what they think "feels" right.
Anyone who just straight off dismisses facts and acts like they have an argument over someone else is just a fucking piece of shit of a person honestly. No respect from me and if you want civility, you probably better debate politics with someone else bc i dont take kindly to disrespect in person.
Trump Curse.
Enjoy...
Yea it’s not about profits it’s about control. The bosses aren’t mad they lost $100M in profits, that’s cost of doing business to them.
Yeah, there may be a board who he reports earning too ahead of the public disclosure but we all know who's really in charge and it ain't those guys.
There was a similar conversation here before about the movie industry's willingness to take large losses to accomplish their propaganda goals.
Imagine having to explain that orange Man is bad and thats why they lost so much money.

Either way, that's a big oof and way off target.
“Orange Man Bad” might do the trick.

Nickelodeon?
Yeah.

My son was watching when they showed that long I can’t breathe video
Absolutely. And in 2016, Trump used social media to win undecided voters.
Given the bias, he can't do that this election. After Trump is REEEEEEEEEE-elected, he needs to hit the media back - TEN TIMES HARDER.

Trump's 2nd term leading to the bankruptcy of CNN would be an amazing cherry on top.
checks from china bounced
Zucker: "I have no regrets over the path CNN is on. As a news corporation I can think of no higher calling than to put messaging over profits."

Zucker has fully embraced his inner Goebbels.
Or a little inconvenient side effect of the lockdown which has closed all the airports, bars and restaurants.
