Runtime 1h44m

A day-in-the-life of several people on Presidential election day last. The movie is to the left, but not unwatchable. It does drag on 3 to 5 minutes more than it needs to a few places.

The newsroom footage is interesting as they move from 3 options for the front page the day after the election, thinking it's Hillary to "President Trump" These were older folks who tended to react better - surprise and shock, but a "We have a job to do, move on" attitude.

Among the younger interviewees, election morning enthusiasm turns to shock and tears after the results. Schadenfreude is the sort of thing that karma will get you for later for, but the movie provides a good sense of how strong the beliefs were with the Hillary supporters and how completely they were crushed 12 hours later. This will happen in 2020 again.

If the filmmakers followed up with some of these people 2 and 4 years after, it might provide material for an interesting sequel. How they thought they were going to do and what happened. There is a movie called "11/8/16 One Year Later" that doesn't seem related to this one.

There are other movies like "Hillary's America" and "Safeguard" I'd watch before I'd watch this.

The movie is included with Amazon Prime. There is a copy on Youtube, but it is ‘buy or rent’

Added for completeness:

The film "11/8/16 One Year Later" is the one year follow up by the original filmmaker with some of the same people. Runtime 14m, released in 2017. Available on Youtube for free. Some of those interviewed were happy with Trump, but not so much at his tweeting style and lack of polish. One was glad that Trump was going to repeal Obama care because of the cost to them. The Snowflake is a classic snowflake, and the socialist clown continued to disagree that America was ever a good thing. Good quote: "The Schumer and Pelosi Democrats are the type we need to get rid of" The sequel may be more balanced. It can stand alone, but it might be better to see the original movie first.
