To be clear, I’m not giving AOC a pass to BE stupid. Or do the things she does. She just clearly doesn’t know any better, but then again her constituents voted for that so they get what they deserve. More poverty and Amazon moving out of her district.
I just honestly don’t know what to do with people like AOC who are just so far gone and have been spoiled to the point they’ve never once been told they are wrong, how do you fix that?
The Republicans could have picked a better person to run against her and pumped more money into their campaign. I don't know who ultimately won the Republican primary in her district, but I heard a few of the candidates. Great on policy and facts but dull as a wet cardboard box. They needed someone with a larger than life personality and then bombard their district with good commercials and a strong door-knocking campaign.
My guess is they're running the template scary music/still photo of a dumb photo of Ocasio-Cortez/words on a screen/low-speaking voice over guy they always run. Nobody pays attention and nobody is going even know who's running. They had 14% voter turnout in that district. Throwing out another boring candidate is not going to "fix" anything.
