The Republicans could have picked a better person to run against her and pumped more money into their campaign. I don't know who ultimately won the Republican primary in her district, but I heard a few of the candidates. Great on policy and facts but dull as a wet cardboard box. They needed someone with a larger than life personality and then bombard their district with good commercials and a strong door-knocking campaign.

My guess is they're running the template scary music/still photo of a dumb photo of Ocasio-Cortez/words on a screen/low-speaking voice over guy they always run. Nobody pays attention and nobody is going even know who's running. They had 14% voter turnout in that district. Throwing out another boring candidate is not going to "fix" anything.
