Funny thing, I think Trump's ok with the media fighting to keep things quiet because it drains Chinese funds and puts a strain on the relationship China has to the media. It's forcing the media to slowly fail.
China might be in a pinch too, there could be acts of war amid their dealings that Trump could leverage without starting open conflict. If China escalates to open war, they might have to deal with Russia and India turning opportunistic against them.
More like shocking how even some other political person sold the US media out to China.
