At least, if some one gets offended by something I said, I would rather they confront me directly rather than doing things like getting all their friends to "cancel" me, or get me fired or whatever other crap they use.
If they confront me directly, good chances are they will realise there was nothing offensive in what I said in the first place.
At the last company I worked, I was told I wasn't allowed to give the OK sign in pictures because it was a "dogwhistle" for white supremacy. I'm clearly Asian btw, not a might be this race or that race, you wouldn't guess I'm anything else, and I'm just like, so you people think I'm white? Trust me, the people who complain aren't actually complaining about anything that offends them, they just want power over other people.

I think you're WAY overestimating the amount of common sense the type of person who gets offended by say, an OK sign has, but agree to disagree

This reminds of of some abusive borderline people in my life. So these are just emotional abusers, but at a social level.
