I went to college in NYC and a lot of young people have this mentality. They won’t think twice about walking around Detroit at 2am or hiking in some NARC controlled 3rd world shithole on Spring Break for a cultural enrichment experience, those people are just misunderstood, but they will gasp at you to be careful if you decide to drive to Florida instead of fly.
