Things are far more shaky today then 40 years ago, especially since the feds outright refuse to use the government to ensure that provinces can get product to market.
I mean, how fucked up is this? We now ship oil from Alberta to BC. Then ship it from BC to eastern canada by tanker. Because there is no pipeline, and rail lines are already backed up shipping other product.
