This is just my conjecture, but based on some of the vitriol I’ve read around Hunter’s reported activities with his niece I’ve thought of a way the left could kill two birds with one stone.

Hunter is killed but the suspect is a right wing nut job. If it happens expect a patsy to be put forth rather quickly that fits the worst stereotypes the left can dream up. Oh, and the guy will probably be using an assault weapon for good measure.
