As MAGA as I am, I try not to hit people over the head with it, but this morning while browsing .win, my co-worker glanced over and saw what I was looking at (at that moment, rally footage and a vast sea of centipedes). She asked if I'd watched the rally in Wisconsin last night. I replied regrettably no, but I keep pretty close attention. She said that she'd been watching the rallies, and that yesterday she asked her husband if he wanted to vote this year. They are mostly apolitical and have never thought of voting in their lives. They did a little digging and discovered that online and regular registration had already ended. In I swoop to the rescue!

I found out that there's grace period registration and early voting still, and I showed her exactly where to go and when. I walked her through the voting process and how simple it is. By the end of our discussion, she said that she's going to go today to register and vote early for GEOTUS!

All credit goes to the man himself for doing all the heavy lifting and endless leg work to get her attention, but I'm happy I could assist in getting a couple more to the finish line.

Let's finish this, pedes.

Edit: First sticky! Mods are gods! Thanks!

Way to do this! You don't have to be heavy handed with folks. The truth will literally set them free. Good Job being President Trump's wing man!

KekistanPM 30 points ago +30 / -0

Exactly this.

I knew some people who are drifting between minimum wage jobs. Rather than hitting them over the head with "Get a job, you bum!" I try to inspire them with stories of people who have chosen career paths and are both happy and well off (not 1%'ers, but rather earning more than their desire to spend). Emphasis being on "happy" because the work provided value and improved the quality of peoples' lives.

And if I don't get through to them, or they just don't know what they want to do, I tell them to search for careers ordered by income descending, and to look into the first one that they think they can do. Especially trade jobs which will only increase in demand since so many people think they're above plumbing and A/C repair.

Yes!!! So happy you do. I am an ex- community college part time instructor and HATED how CCs gutted their trade programs in favor of "college prep" for people who didn't want, nor were suited to do that.

Mike Roe is the champion of bringing trades back. If you know folks who don't have the scratch to go to a trade school, point them to his scholarship program. His grants for trade school are there for the taking, and you don't even have to be transgendered!!! (sorry, had to slip that in)

Nope, you don’t “know” anything.

edit: 👆 Why be an asshole?

“Uhh, okay, sorry dad...” lmfao So he gets GEOTUS 2 votes, and you get to LARP that you saved the republic by being a finger-wagging cunt.

Great idea – let’s go with the low-energy scolding persuasion technique - You are a master of communication.

What synapses are firing in your head to post shit like that? It’s not like the guy is scheduling a fucking victory party, fucknut.

Sorry about the swearing, but honestly, wtf.

Do not get complacent.

I am surprised at the number of people that I recently found out are voting for Biden. Most are highly misinformed; some are just straight up selfish pieces of shit that don’t care about anything but themselves and want free shit.

I live in a blue city and it pains me to see so many unopposed Dem judges on my sample ballot.

Also, WTF is a judge doing with a party affiliation? I know the answer, but I hate the answer.

4
skygz 4 points ago +4 / -0

if they're unopposed don't fill in a bubble. that's what I do

5
Tardigrade 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yep, if Biden wins itll be because of people like my one good friend from work. Hes not a raging SJW, dislikes political correctness and identity politics, has incredible work ethic and in many ways is smarter than myself. But he Just. Does. Not. Get. It. I sent him some stuff about why I didnt like Hillary and his reply was "yeah, i wasnt really excited about Hillary but she scared me a little less than Trump. Sigh.... I guess thats just what this election came down to". Another time I pointed out how Trumps immigration policies werent much different from what Dems claimed to support in the past and he said "i dont know about his policies... he never talked about them."

4
TehAgent 4 points ago +4 / -0

I actually just saw someone that said the same thing. He talks about them a lot...they’re there to find...but mass media doesn’t report it, so they say he’s not talking about it. They’re intellectually lazy and just take whatever mainstream media spoon feeds them, with zero care to check into things for themselves.

I brought in 4 new votes myself. Very proud of it. I even suspect I convinced my Trump hating mother to hold her nose and vote for him anyway. And she is a Florida vote 😄

Awesome! I've converted dozens with the concept of voting for Joe by asking for good reasons. The top 3 reasons so far:

  1. There are enough Americans so that every politician should only ever be able to hold a position for a single term, and that's the way they've voted their entire life.
  2. Joe's a nice guy. (Only good in that it caught me completely off balance, still have no idea what they've been watching to get that idea)
  3. The "I control the conversation" sociopath response gallery. Everything from "too many reasons - oh look at the time" to "you don't watch the news?! I'll just send you some Youtube links." followed by them going out of their way to avoid me.

Nice job! All we need is to get 1 person to vote and have them get 1 person.

My sister was super anti Trump and on her own saw all the bias and crap the media pulled and for the first time in her life voted for a Republican President. Sure she went with other choices democratic and some republican but she just couldn't stand by after all the crap that's come out and vote Biden

Great job pede, what state is this?

3
Pedeberrycrunch [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Honestly, I left it out intentionally cause it is a very blue state (Illinois), and I didn't want to dispirit anyone. BUT, I'm sure these two fresh Trump voters are but a drop in an ocean of first-time voters that are going to surprised EVERYONE come election night!

4
Zog1 4 points ago +4 / -0

I see, I’m on IL too and voted straight red a few days ago. Only race I didn’t vote only had a D on the ballot. Felt good when the poll worker asked me “are you okay not voting for...” and I said “yes” in front of the room of other voters.

Waiting patiently for that county-by-county map that's blood red with a couple blue chocolate chips here and there. Cheers!

This is 100% what happens, over and over and over. People who keep their eyes closed tend to open their eyes when things get loud enough. A quick story.

I was just on a site, reading on the Among Us incident with the guy who hacked the game, ended his stuff with "Trump 2020." Among the many, many ignorant leftists in the comments, including people talking about we all need to be eradicated, was someone saying that he knows a house with 2 signs on the lawn, a Trump 2020, and a sort of "We Love Everyone" sign. He declares that he and his are the ones who love everyone, and that our cognitive dissonance is astounding. And goes farther to again talk about how we're all the problem. Now, anyone who sees and hears that idiot, and then actually takes the time to look at even ONE scene from even ONE Trump rally will, in ANY photograph, see black guys and hispanic girls and gays proudly waving their "Lesbians for Trump!" flags and Japanese and Swedes and all of these guys... and NONE of them are at each others' throats. Everyone's getting along.

Because we do love everyone, unless they give us concrete reason to not love them.

But I'm sure that this turd in the comments of that site is even right now in his echo chamber where he thinks the moderates are, fantasizing about loading us all up into boxcars, much like his fellow (national) socialists one did so much of.

Because he's SO full of love.

Makes me think of this great exchange by Gavin McInnis and some cuck outside a Trump Rally in 2016.

The dude is so filled with hate for Trump supporters, at one point, Gavin just straight up says, "You know, wouldn't it be great if you could just kill all the Trump supporters?" The cuck immediately and vehemently denies it, realizing it would make him sound like a psychopath, but his argument of "wanting to teach of love and tolerance," is so hollow considering he was just REEEEing about how subhuman all of us are.

Totally emblematic of your experience. Honestly, I feel the same about those annoying "Hate Has No Home Here" signs. They might as well read, "I Hate Trump and His Supporters."

3
Skogin 3 points ago +3 / -0

The “Hate has no Home Here” signs!

Every time I see one, I have a strong desire to spray paint “F U” across it. If I was 20 years younger, I would be hunting down these sign right now.

I’ve got 1 person who didn’t care about politics and never voted to register republican and vote r down ballot. Their reason the are sick of the way the media lies about Trump. This isn’t Trump v Biden it’s Trump vs CNN, MSNBC, WAPO and the DNC

They always poll likely voters and show Biden far into the lead but at least in my social circle, the majority of people voting for Trump are people that never vote. The type of people that always said it’s pointless to vote because either pick will fuck us over so why even play their game.

Now they vote Trump, and they drag everyone else out to vote with them.
