I was an almost Trump voter in 2016. Didn't really care much about politics but bought into the crazy rhetoric of Bernie, saw what the media did to him and was completely disenfranchised so I didn't vote. Made the point I live in Cali so mine doesn't really matter anyways, but when Trump won I was glad and thought maybe this will wake people up. Instead everyone dug in even worse than before.
I saw the good Trump was doing over the next few years and how evil the rhetoric on the left grew and knew I had to vote this time, and it felt good. Even though Cali will probably remain blue, chipping away at their lead here is a good place to start.
Your vote always matters! In state and local races too! Hope you voted R all the way down the ticket. :)
This also applies to voters in blue cities who feel they can't do any good where they are. Your vote for Trump counts exactly the same as the vote of anyone else in your state, no matter where you live. I can't stress that enough.
I do live in a district that leans R but not heavily, we border the more liberal counties so there is some crossover, and definitely voted to try to keep them in.
This tracks very closely with my observation of Republican friends. Those who didn't vote for him (third party) or voted unenthusiastically are now ALL IN.
The movement toward Trump in this direction is reflected down the line - Rs, Is, and Ds. At worst, Hillary voters move to third party or not voting which still helps Trump.
Then you have all the people who didn't vote at all in 2016 who are showing up to rallies in large numbers.
I'm not American myself but I have a friend who's a American. Emigrated from Cuba when he was young.
I remember that back in 16 he voted for trump because he was the "less shit option" but now he's 100% trump and got his family to vote for him as well.
Shocking how being real and honest resonates with the American people... 🤔

Awesome, thank you!
