The one that pisses me off second most is the science thing. Consensus is not what makes a theory correct, and arguing for consensus-as-correctness is a recipe for the kind of institutional rot and political (as in rent-seeking and entrenching, not necessarily ideological) academia we have today. "Science" is currently a circlejerk of picking off promising young people while building a fort around tenure and seniority.
The one that pisses me off most is teachers, because everyone wants to take public school for granted and is shocked when the inevitable conclusion is that commies always subvert public institutions in order to indoctrinate your kids.
Not sure how much I agree with the first one. 'Uncensored art' has played a roll in the fall of civilization several times now.
Art is beauty, it is not a 'statement.' If art is not beautiful, it is not art. There is a reason Picaso carried a revolver loaded with blanks for those who would ask the meaning of his art. Attempting to assign "meaning" to an expression of beauty is an insult to a true artist. A banana taped to a wall is not art. The exhibits on display in Adam Shitts house are not art.
There is a point where censorship is as necessary as law and order. But like law and like order, it must be impartial and blind. CP is NOT art and never will be. Anyone who argues against censorship in art is arguing for things like Cuties to exist, because that is the inevitable outcome if all things are permissible as long as you call it art.
"Artists" calling for censorship of speech is something that would fit the concept better, but "all censorship is bad" is not the correct response to what is happening in the world right now.
It is not a straw man at all and I don't know why you don't see that. Netflix openly used "It's just art!" as an excuse, and are currently getting away with it. There is an entire 'genre' of art that is prepubescent children in sexual positions that sells for very large sums of money.
When the government says that child pornography is not legal, that is a form of censorship, and it is an important part of a stable society to censor dangerous and illegal content from our "art." Those same laws absolutely should be applied equally to Netflix and the "Art" industry selling paintings of cp.
Dont be a cuck. Do you know why CP is illegal/unethical instead of parroting whatever belief system you have?
It's because it's done WITHOUT CONSENT. Same reason kids cant vote. Because under 18, we as a society assume people are not capable enough to agree to consent or vote.
Art without consent is not Art, exactly why videos get taken down due to copyright infringement.
Yup, big facts indeed.
I wouldn't think Naval is a Trump supporter, but isn't it strange that a bunch of people here would go yup, makes sense.
Here's the tweet https://twitter.com/naval/status/1320071888551358464 - and a lot of agreement with what he's saying.
Quite right.
It seems to be in their nature...
This guy has some pretty iconoclastic views. And the founder of AngelList. Awesome dude.
Journalists don’t report. That’s the problem right there.
Add "Pastors" to this as well. Some of them are infuriating at this point.
It was obvious from his talk with rogan that he’s based af: https://youtu.be/3qHkcs3kG44

They are publishing addresses and donation amounts, of all Trump supporters.
Fine. Though turn about is fair play.
Time to start publishing addresses and disciplines/credentials of all local teachers.
Let's deep dive the people that are brain fucking... our children.

EDIT: Looks like I upset the pedos lurking.
You don't think the government should be prosecuting the distribution of cp?
