Here is the scenario I could see possibly playing out: Hunter dies by Crackicide. Joe rushes to hospital to be with body/funeral arrangements. Media starts yelling about how the racismsis and Trump hatreds drove him to it, and they ply for a sympathy vote. And either Joe pulls out of the race to be replaced at the last minute with ?????? or he puts on a "brave face" for the last few days and disappears until after election day.

This is possibly happening now.
