You can start here, view the twitter link I sent and do your own research in the direction I guided you. Your anecdotal Italy (who was one of the worst failures in handling COVID) is irrelevant to global view, even Europe alone, of COVID.

We do not close the world down for influenza. No data supports your crazed theory.

Yes, deaths matter. Now try looking at every other country, and not cherry pick a shithole that doesn't do post-mortem COVID testing and no way to verify what actually killed the numbers they claim.

All current data on deaths show, for months, absolute plummeting with even idiotic nations who still lockdown and prevent herd immunity still also plummeting. Places open already like Sweden doing great.

who said anything about closing down the world? exactly what 'crazed theory' are you trying to push on me?

I replied to a comment that counselled

The most important thing to be done right after the election is to cut funding for testing, tracing, and PPE.

All I argued against is that we shouldn't completely ignore COVID as a non-issue.

I do. Some countries got by without lockdowns - that doesn't mean they did nothing at all.

You point to Sweden?

https://www.government.se/articles/2020/10/about-the-covid-19-virus-for-older-people-people-with-health-conditions-and-health-and-social-care-staff-25-september/

They didn't lockdown, but they did plenty of other countermeasures. Which by the way include funding for testing and PPE

In 2020, the Government has set aside almost SEK 7 billion to support large-scale testing throughout Sweden and promote active contact tracing. In recent weeks, more than 100 000 tests for active COVID-19 infection have been carried out each week. Testing and contact tracing are important tools in fighting the pandemic and they need to continue in 2021 too. In the Budget Bill for 2021 the Government therefore proposes SEK 2 billion for continued testing and contact tracing in the regions.

The only theory I proposed in my above posts, is that we shouldn't go from one extreme of 'lets lockdown forever' to the other extreme 'lets do nothing at all'
