All current data on deaths show, for months, absolute plummeting with even idiotic nations who still lockdown and prevent herd immunity still also plummeting. Places open already like Sweden doing great.
They didn't lockdown, but they did plenty of other countermeasures. Which by the way include funding for testing and PPE
In 2020, the Government has set aside almost SEK 7 billion to support large-scale testing throughout Sweden and promote active contact tracing. Testing and contact tracing are important tools in fighting the pandemic and they need to continue in 2021 too. I do. Some countries got by without lockdowns - that doesn't mean they did nothing at all.
