Is this the same poll that had Joe + 12 2 weeks ago? I know they were both Rasmussen, but they have a plethora of polls.

H_Guderian 130 points ago +131 / -1

iirc Rasmussen is on of the last few to do a Daily poll.

They also nailed the Scott Brown race, which eventually Warren would oust.

I don’t understand how Trump could have 53% in Rasmussen and not have a majority vote. I’m guessing Jorgensen is polling well?

What Morning Consult is claiming, "Most Voters Who Went Third Party in 2016 Are Backing Biden Over Trump This Year"

I don't buy it. Gary Johnson pulled in record votes for the Libertarians in an unsure election. Many voters that lean conservative or have libertarian leanings voted for Johnson in an unsure election. I don't see how they don't vote for Trump with his record and that Johnson isn't on the ballot. That's why New Mexico will go for Trump this time around.

Also, this line from the article..."Joe Biden leads the president by 32 points among likely voters who supported “someone else” in 2016". Talk about pure fucking nonsense. They pulled that number out of their ass.

Edit: I'd like to add the things that Libertarians should be happy about with Trump.

  • No new wars.
  • Mass Deregulation.
  • Pharma and Justice Reform.
  • First Step Act.
  • Several Middle East Peace Deals.
  • Booming Economy.
  • Repeal TPP and NAFTA.
  • Remove Obamacare Mandate.
  • Tax Cuts.

I don't buy it. I am a first time poster here, been lurking for about a month. Anyway, I am a "Big L" libertarian (hardcore) and I voting for Donald Trump. My wife is also voting for the first time and she can't wait to vote for Trump. I think most libertarians understand who the establishment candidate is and I can't imagine them voting for Biden.

Registered Libertarian, I voted for Johnson in 2016. Already turned in my ballot for Trump.

kag-2020- 15 points ago +16 / -1

I voted for Johnson because I legitimately thought he'd be better than Mitt "The RINO" Romney and I thought Barack Hussein Obama was a traitor who hated America. Still do too. I voted Trump in 2016 though, and I am ecstatic to do it again.

That was me in 2016

Jorgensen is hated by the majority of Libertarians due to her embracing critical race theory and supporting BLM.

She is not gonna do well

5
VeganTrumpSupporter 5 points ago +5 / -0

She won't do as well as Gary Johnson, but she'll pick up a lot of the lefties who can't stomach voting for Biden after their beloved socialist Bernie was kicked to the curb by the establishment.

Rginap 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ick, I heard her interview on Rubin Report and she spews bullshit about "system racism". Its' funny because some of the points she was making that I liked were basically things Trump is already doing (i.e. cutting regulation, not being other countries' police, removing troops from overseas).

She's not.

Jorgensen lost lots of Ls when she got woke.

And the Dems would ignore The Brown win, change the Senate rules, then jam through Obamacare.

TO BE FAIR, I'D RATHER LOOK AT ANY POLL THAN HUNTER'S POLE AGAIN.

Came here to say this. the 84% number is pure crap.

11
NYC_4_Trump 11 points ago +11 / -0

Even if it were 84%, that would probably be higher than a similar 2016 poll. Trump was an unknown quantity then. Now, he has the overwhelming support of the base.

10
Vests123 10 points ago +10 / -0

Last time POTUS mentioned that he has 96% approval in the R party.

Even Never Trumpers and RINOs are being insulted by left on a daily basis. Never Trumpers and RINOs have a deep fear of wealth taxes.

When you are middle class and your 2200 sq ft house is an uncomfortable 1 hr mass transit commute from Manhattan, Philly city center, the Loop, or Boston Harbor and costs $1.5 million, and there is $250k in 401k while staring at $400k in college costs for 2 kids, a wealth on that makes you realize how screwed you would be.

If trump is desperate, why is he starting to tweet specifically towards three unwinnable states (CA/NY/IL)?

Dude is in position for an epic landslide, both electoral and popular.

6
Batman 6 points ago +6 / -0

I think calling out those three states is just politicking. GW Bush claimed he was going to win CA in his campaign events.

My point being, focus on the vital states: FL, NC, PA, MI, AZ.

3
cookster1234 3 points ago +3 / -0

Wisconsin too, that's the tipping point state this cycle

1
Beaker999 1 point ago +1 / -0

My guess is Trump wins the popular vote by between 2 and 4 points. That will equate to a landslide in the electoral.

4
DontTreadOnMe1984 4 points ago +4 / -0

I love reading those politico articles for the lolz....they so desperately want to believe in a Biden landslide.

If MSM believed what they were saying, like even the slightest bit, we would be inundated with articles talking about the post-Trump world coming shortly.

None of them want to be laughed at next week.

12
DefaultFreedom 12 points ago +13 / -1

Yeah. I can't believe Rasmussen published that. I would have scrapped it because it was obviously way way off.

Biden ain't no FDR after WW2.

13
handpeople 13 points ago +14 / -1

They had only 76% of Republicans voting for Trump in the poll where Biden was ahead by 12 points. I actually do think there was some sort of coordinated pollster attack that week. Had it not been for Rasmussen giving only 76% of Republican support to Trump, I might have let it slide as a bad poll or an anomaly for a given day, but they should have corrected for that 76% number, that is ridiculous.

Dems always march in lockstep. There's no critical thinking just the party line.

2
NYC_4_Trump 2 points ago +2 / -0

It raises two questions: will every eligible dem vote? If so, will they really pull the lever for Biden?
