One thing legal precedent has been extremely clear on: if you are in line before closing time and otherwise eligible, you will be able to vote. No exceptions.
Both campaigns want you to vote early in those states where this information, that you voted, is publicly available before the election. It allows them to save money, time, and resources and focus on those who haven't voted yet.
In those states where the information doesn't exist, they will ask you to vote early if you are profiled as being likely for their side.
There may be a number out there suggesting that early voting turnout already is about a 3rd of the total turnout from 2016. This was over the weekend so about 10 days out.

My state government has began sending emergency notices about COVID directly to my phone. I never opted in to this. It's very clear they are doing it to rattle people right before the election and convince them to stay home.
If you are in line before the polls close on Election Day, you must be allowed to vote.

It wouldn't be effective on young and middle-aged Trump supporters, but it would work like a charm on the fence-sitting older folks who're majorly conservative (meaning nothing really lost for Democrats) and who're already lukewarm on Trump because he's "so mean" on Twitter. They could easily be terrified into staying home, because even though many of them talk a big game about how COVID is overblown, they're secretly terrified at any possibility of being exposed to it.

I've started telling the libs in my family straight up, "No amount of pretending to be scared of a mild flu will stop Trump from getting re- elected." I've been saying since May to my parents, expect COVID to go through the roof the end of October.
I just went through training to work the polls. All they talked about was covid, sanitizing, anti-social distancing, etc., but in the end they said loud and clear: you cannot deny a voter their vote whether they wear a mask or not. They have scared the poll workers more than the voters in my neck of the woods.

Tomorrow we're supposed to have a new conference with the mayor and I know he's going to try and put pressure on the surrounding cities to toe the line of his mask mandate.
It's just crazy to me that since the mandate went active in July, none of the surrounding counties and cities have followed, but now it's become a problem??
