CDC just announced it won't be conducting/providing 2020/21 flu-season tracking data, due to COVID-19.

Yep. They’re going to roll it all into “PIC” so it’ll be Pneumonia, Influenza, and Covid combined. With combined numbers they’ll be able to say we’re still in an epidemic. They’ve already started this with some of the latest numbers released

You have a link/source for that? I did some quick searching and didn't see anything. Would def be interested to read and spread to some folks

Or maybe my search-fu is failing me at the moment

This is the link https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/covid-data/covidview/index.html

A little bit down the page under the Severe Disease: Hospitalization and Deaths, it says “ Based on death certificate data, the percentage of deaths attributed to pneumonia, influenza, or COVID-19 (PIC) for week 42 was 7.6% and, while declining, remains above the epidemic threshold. Hospitalization rates and PIC mortality for the most recent weeks are anticipated to increase as additional data are reported.”

Edit: found out about this originally from here https://twitter.com/EthicalSkeptic/status/1319748264909017090?s=20

Please post a link

Somebody posted it this morning. Sorry though, I'm rather computer inept and don't know how to link.

It's not true.

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm

Since September 27, 2020: 35,688 flu tests with 121 positive in private labs, 17,012 tests with 5 positive in public labs.

sentient-potato 3 points ago +3 / -0

I didn't think so. I messed with their little graph and couldn't get it to spew anything out other than this one graph.

-2
ADAM_SCHITT -2 points ago +1 / -3

That's not what they said...they just said they weren't tracking geographic flu data. They still have cases and deaths on their website.

rimper 2 points ago +3 / -1

It was CDC.gov flu-season tracking website.

-3
ADAM_SCHITT -3 points ago +1 / -4

I know...you should actually read the website.

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm

Since September 27, 2020: 35,688 flu tests with 121 positive in private labs, 17,012 tests with 5 positive in public labs. I don't know shit about the testing or whether it's possible to test positive for COVID if you actually have the flu, but they are tracking flu data.

Once again, it was a CDC.gov site devoted to flu-season tracking data. It was NOT what you linked here..

-3
ADAM_SCHITT -3 points ago +1 / -4

Yes it was. Here is the previous thread since you're "computer inept." https://thedonald.win/p/11PVp4Y6Gk/x/c/19BGFTRK9W

Lol... So then read it and fuck off.

ADAM_SCHITT -4 points ago +1 / -5

Holy crap....you're literally retarded. I already read it to you and you still deny it.

Guess I won't need a flu shot this year.

So COVID cured the flu, then. Trust the science.

The only real difference between normal year Influenza spread and 2020 is that in April we had massive lock downs...

ALL schools closed, many businesses closed, 'social distancing' and masks and hand washing exploded...

These changes in human behavior may have had a much more debilitating effect on Influenza vs. what happened with COVID. The viruses are different - and have unique traits....

it is very logical to think- given that graph - that the influenza virus simply could not continue under the pressure of the lock down and associated greatly increased sanitation processes.

Thanks for actually using logic in your reply. Everyone else thinks covid and the flu is a hoax is some shit

The way the MSM played the FEAR CARD back in March April was a real driver of why many Americans just don't understand the virus and what it does...

So the people were once again intentionally MIS-INFORMED by the MSM.

BTW - every PEDE and PEDE FAMILY SHOULD BE TAKING SOME VITAMIN D SUPPLEMENTS.... every family member - every single day.... 'One a Day' Flintstones vitamins' anything to get 1000iu or so of VITAMIN D every day.

COVID infections are GREATLY MINIMIZED from immune systems where the person have proper levels of Vitamin D.

World studies summed up here in a few charts:

"Vitamin D and Covid-19 risk by Nation, Updated."

https://covid.us.org/2020/10/02/vitamin-d-and-covid-19-risk-by-nation-updated/

The effect is DRAMATIC and 100% DIRECTLY RELATED!

Zinc wouldn't hurt, either!

This chart is useless without comparing it to prior years. It's called seasonal flu for a reason. It comes and goes.

I'm not saying it's not suspicious, just saying you need the context shown in the second chart to draw any conclusions. I agree, 2020 looks odd compared to prior years.
