Permastickied until the election

We think nationally a lot, but let's talk local for a bit!

Rules for this thread are pretty simple. Top-level posts must be structured as such or they'll be deleted:

[STATE]

[COUNTY/CITY/etc (if applicable)]

[Position title. School board, police chief, dog catcher, tax hike, etc.]: -Who is the MAGA candidate(s), or Yes/No to the initiative. Please include an explanation (and link, if possible)

Example:

NORTH DAKOTA

FARGO COUNTY

Police Chief:

-Deputy Dangle. He puts rollerskating hookers away and doesn't afraid of anything

School tax increase

-Vote NO. They're failing our students, churning out rollerskating hookers. They'll use the money for rayciss training anyway.

If you're looking for advice for your state/county, ctrl-F and search for it. If nothing comes up, do some research and advise others!

The marijuana initiative was put on the ballot by the big California MJ Industry, and it favors out of state interests heavily. It is not a citizen proposition. Vote No until Arizonans put a real citizen initiative on the ballot

You are already free to legally smoke weed in AZ. But if you want bigger government and out of state interests in AZ then you be you.

That's just untrue. It is a felony offense if you do not have your medical card. With this legislation o won't need one.

Razorfist (I think) says that if that gets passed, it will bring a bunch of Californians into the state and turn it blue like it did CO.

The cheap housing, lower taxes, and quality of life has already brought them here.

Californians are already snapping up the nice homes for sale in my market. I don't think it will BRING more Calis to the state, but it will certainly remove a barrier from a lot of people who otherwise would not come. The writing is already on the wall, CA's failed policies are going to bleed into Arizona. Voting Yes on either initiative will only accelerate it.

It is easy and fast to get a MMJ card in AZ, and there are dispensaries everywhere. Anyone who wants to legally smoke already can in AZ, so why pass a bill that leads to bigger government and bigger industry control? The Proposition is a poison pill written by the corporate lobbies from CA and CO.

Research what happened to the small MMJ dispensaries in CA and CO and consider who is benefitting from 207 before voting Yes.
