MISSISSIPPI FLAG

Mississippi will have a vote this election on choosing to yes or no on the new proposed flag design. I do not have anything against the new design and think it looks nice but I do have a problem with how the Gov and elected officials were pressured into removing our previous state flag, without a vote. In 2001 we voted to keep the flag yet earlier this year the powered to be chose to remove it without a vote. I can totally see the issues some had with our old flag being that it did have the confederate banner on it and I feel sure it would have been voted to be changed this go round. But it should have been voted on just as it was the last time. I plan to vote No, not because I dislike the new design, not that I loved the old design, but simply because it should have been put to a vote again to be removed.
