Permastickied until the election

We think nationally a lot, but let's talk local for a bit!

Rules for this thread are pretty simple. Top-level posts must be structured as such or they'll be deleted:

[STATE]

[COUNTY/CITY/etc (if applicable)]

[Position title. School board, police chief, dog catcher, tax hike, etc.]: -Who is the MAGA candidate(s), or Yes/No to the initiative. Please include an explanation (and link, if possible)

Example:

NORTH DAKOTA

FARGO COUNTY

Police Chief:

-Deputy Dangle. He puts rollerskating hookers away and doesn't afraid of anything

School tax increase

-Vote NO. They're failing our students, churning out rollerskating hookers. They'll use the money for rayciss training anyway.

If you're looking for advice for your state/county, ctrl-F and search for it. If nothing comes up, do some research and advise others!

Exactly how I plan to vote. Annoyed that prop 22 isn't full ab5 repeal though.

Same here. Lyft and Uber obviously invested enough $ to get the signatures to put prop 22 on the ballot.

I’m not sure what the best path to an AB5 repeal is. If we take what we can get now, We could remain stuck with AB5. If we’re willing to gamble, we could slap it down and hope Lyft/Uber invests dollars manipulating a Judge/politician to get a broader repeal.

Prop 22 relieves the silicon Valley millennials of the most pressing problem of ab5. If it passes the bad effects of ab5 on the broader independent contracting world will persist.

No on 22!
