Permastickied until the election

We think nationally a lot, but let's talk local for a bit!

Rules for this thread are pretty simple. Top-level posts must be structured as such or they'll be deleted:

[STATE]

[COUNTY/CITY/etc (if applicable)]

[Position title. School board, police chief, dog catcher, tax hike, etc.]: -Who is the MAGA candidate(s), or Yes/No to the initiative. Please include an explanation (and link, if possible)

Example:

NORTH DAKOTA

FARGO COUNTY

Police Chief:

-Deputy Dangle. He puts rollerskating hookers away and doesn't afraid of anything

School tax increase

-Vote NO. They're failing our students, churning out rollerskating hookers. They'll use the money for rayciss training anyway.

If you're looking for advice for your state/county, ctrl-F and search for it. If nothing comes up, do some research and advise others!

**Florida ** Pinellas County St. Petersburg

President: -George Abraham GEOTUS J. Trump

Congressional District 13: -Anna Paulina Luna. She is running against Charlie Crist and is a hottie USAF veteran. She doesn't have a strong platform honestly, but Trump approves of her.

State Rep Dist 68: -Matt Tito

Pinellas Tax Collector: -Charles Thomas

Pinellas County Sheriff: -Bob Gualtieri

Pinellas Property Appraiser: Mike Twitty

Pinellas Supervisor of Elections: -Julie Marcus

Pinellas School Board Dist 1: -Stephanie Meyer

Amendment 1: Citizenship Requirement to Vote in Florida Elections. -Yes, holy fuck yes.

Amendment 2: Raising Florida’s Minimum Wage. -No, consumers pay this, and business will cut jobs.

Amendment 3, All Voters Vote in Primary Elections for State Legislature, Governor, and Cabinet. -No, Jungle primary, screw THIS. It will keep out minority candidates, honestly. The left will use this to fuck all of Florida, as well.

Amendment 4, Voter Approval of Constitutional Amendments. -Yes, I think voters should have a direct say in amendments.

Amendment 5, Limitation on Homestead Assessments. -Yes

Amendment 6, Ad Valorem Tax Discount for Spouses of Certain Deceased Veterans Who Had Permanent, Combat-Related Disabilities. -Yes, help disabled-vet spouses.

Pinellas went Trump in 2016 and I am doing my part. Praise Kek.

As a general rule, we should always vote no on every constitutional amendment. Direct democracy is a high proof liquor and, when given to the public, makes for terrible amendments. That's why every single one passed last year. If you give idiots a chance to make their own rules, they'll fuck it up.

With that said:

Amendment 1: Citizenship Requirement to Vote in Florida Elections. - Yes / Maybe.

Amendment 2: Raising Florida’s Minimum Wage. - NO. If you would allow your own teenager to work for $12/hr, then you have no right to tell others that they shouldn't be allowed to work for $12/hr.

Amendment 3, All Voters Vote in Primary Elections for State Legislature, Governor, and Cabinet. - NO.

Amendment 4, Voter Approval of Constitutional Amendments. - NO. Direct democracy is bad. Revotes allow for cheating and big-money to have 2nd bite at the apple.

Amendment 5, Limitation on Homestead Assessments. - NO. Homestead cap is supposed to help keep them in their homes, not build new ones. This extends it to 3 years for the purpose of allowing new home purchasers to build / construct new houses, but also allows people to leave Florida / sell and rent / etc for a year or two and magically "resume" their homestead exemption when they come back. If you abandon your homestead for more than 2 years, then you abandoned it. Just forces the government to raise taxes on the rest of us.

Amendment 6, Ad Valorem Tax Discount for Spouses of Certain Deceased Veterans Who Had Permanent, Combat-Related Disabilities. NO. Just forces the government to raise taxes on everyone else.
