That is a crazy percentage for Philadelphia. It has been a one party democratic stronghold for nearly 70 years. It needs to be clear that Republicans are only 13% of registered voters there!

you have to register democrat if you want to have a say in the mayors race. The democratic primary IS the mayors race. All of my Trump supporting relatives and friends in philly are registered democrats.

The original "OK" campaign occurred in Philly Mayoral campaign about 20 years ago.

Sam Katz, running as a Republican in the heavily democrat city, used the following message:

"Sam Katz, it's OK!"

There were districts in Philly in 2012 that recorded zero Romney votes

Funny true story. Back in the 80’s I went to vote at my local south Philly location. I tried to vote Republican and the lever wouldn’t move. I asked for help and it turned out that the booth was set for a primary. Basically the lever would only work if you voted democrat. They changed the setting and I was then able to vote. The kicker is I was voting after work, so this machine had been ‘locked’ on democrat all day (basically for 11 hours) and no one said anything. Philadelphia politics is as dirty as it comes. I got out of there over 30 years ago for the deep red rural south and have never regretted it for a moment.

That's just sad, man.

Plot twist: they relocked the lever as soon as you walked out the door.

I almost expect that they did. I, to this day, still wonder how many older people just shrugged and voted how they were ‘allowed’ to just to do their civic duty. 🤬

This is something the local GOP has to look out for. Can you contact them and share your story? Maybe they can ensure the machines work properly from the start.

I bet you its more.

This is my city. If those numbers are accurate with vocal supporters, there are many like myself who can hardly speak about politics when out to eat. I literally have to whisper and stop when someone walks by because the far left here are fucking rabid lunatics.

Glad to read this though. Makes me feel less isolated than I usually do. This is a great city that's being left for shit by awful leadership. This would be the best city in the country were we to have a conservative insurgency.

Such a historic city mired by leftist filth

The billboards and signs say a lot. I am surprised at the large number of Trump signs in a democratic "stronghold".

South Philly Italians are a force to be reckoned with.

Hey there brother. I couldnt agree more - this is such a great city, and it could be absolutely amazing here if we could dump our horrific leadsrship. Ive lived in the city for 20 years now and love it here.

You are not alone, and I dont think we are as alone as it seems. I too just keep my opinions to myself, but lately Ive seen a few Trump flags around town and down on Washington. I was also at a bar the other night and overheard a group of three people, probably 35ish, talking about the left losing their shit and they were going to have to vote for Trump, and thought a lot of their friends were secretly voting Trump, too. White dude, indian dude, and an asian girl who just immigrated a few years ago from what I overheard.

I think Philadelphians, like a lot of people, may just be fed up enough to help swing this state. I'd love to see record numbers for this city. I saw a big ASIANS FOR TRUMP billboard on my way to work last week over 95, right as I was leaving the city. I think there may be more support here than we realize.

There will be massive fraud, but it won't be nearly massive enough to overcome Trump's epic landslide.

I've seen a fair number of Trump stickers, small flags and such in Center City Philly. Probably at least several people doing it independently (different types of stuff).

Actually almost as much unofficial Trump stuff as "Biden" related items (most of the Biden stuff is of the large variety that took a team and equipment to put up - probably one or more of the Unions, like the SEIU, that have offices by Center City).

The small (non-Union) Biden stuff locally is mostly fairly crude, like "Trump Sucks, His Supporters Blow" stickers, "Dump the Turd November Third" and such. A bunch of anti-ICE and anti police stickers. Plus a range of pure ANTIFA stuff (like "support our troops" with pictures of ANTIFA, or pictures of something like Casper the Ghost with an Antifa symbol - not infrequently near some "Biden/Harris" stuff and stickers), and the BLM/ANTIFA/SOROS paper "Trump Pence OUT NOW" stickers.

New York may very well be in play... But that scares me for PA. I'm in the western Philly Burbs, and I have been seeing countless cars with NY plates. All these shitstains evacuating NYC are spilling into PA... I only hope they didn't have time to legally become Pennsylvanians / register to vote.

Wow, Trump got only 15% in Philadelphia county last election. 9% increase is about 50k votes!

barring massive fraud.

SomeGuyOnTheInternet 4 points ago +7 / -3

"Barring massive voter fraud" is a major and unrealistic assumption though.

rothbard_anarchist 2 points ago +2 / -0

Is this just one poll saying this? Allegedly every other poll is saying the opposite.

2
Crusty_Pede 2 points ago +2 / -0

Lol do you guys not get it?

There will be massive fraud.
