I live in an apartment building in LA and a lot of crazy libs surround me. Just really want to trigger them. Want to make sure it can't be traced back to me though, not a big tech savvy person. Will they know?

The only way I know of is if they use a WiFi analyzer. It basically tells you how strong your signal is to their location. I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you, change away!
Yep, it's pretty easy to triangulate a radio signal based on signal strength, with something as simple as a smartphone for WiFi.
And I agree, just do it and don't give a damn. Maybe change the SSID to something newly spicy every few days. For the lulz.

no. I live in SoCal. My wifi is TrumpTrain2020 and Trump is your President... Has been since '16. At that time I was the only house on the block flying the flag, now half the block flies flags and some have Trump yard signs. Just do it.
Yes, the can just walk down the hall and see the signal is strongest in front of your door.

Most probably won't. Technically yes, 100% you can tell. Here is how since I am not seeing technical answers yet.
Wifi signal has strength. Think bars. There are apps that will analyze wifi signal strength...so you can literally turn it on and walk around until you get close.
But will they? I dunno. Regardless I say go for it.

Depends if they want to know and where you live. If you live in your own house it should be relatively easy even without technical knowledge. But in your situation?
If there is a large quantity of different wifis and your apartments are relatively small?
Harder, only by someone who is tech savvy enough to hack your devices or has knowledge about you.
Even with access to your router it shouldn't be enough. They need any kind of private information to know from whom it is.
Or if they are all liberals and know each other and they ask each other and share their wifi-names XD.

Buy a crap old router from a thrift store for 5 dollars. Plug it in somewhere that's not your house. Or just do it, odds are people won't go through the effort to track you down. If they do, so what?
