I don't understand how there could be "pay disputes". You signed a contract that stated what you would get. If you're worth more and want to make more, negotiate for higher pay or go somewhere else. The market will dictate what you are worth.

Or, just be happy you have a job where you are probably overpaid to begin with.

I read that she has been working without a contract for about a year now. Sounds like the negotiation for a new contract have broken down. Obviously Fox's financial situation has taken a hit due to COVID, so it may be that she had expectations that were realistic back when her last contract was running out, but Fox is tightening its belt and no longer willing to offer as much as she previously had reason to expect they would.

Fox is taking a hit because they have veered left.

Not really. They pick up as many moderate/centrist viewers as they lose conservative viewers. FNC's ratings are sky-high. But all advertisers except political campaigns have been forced to cut back ad expenditures due to COVID impact, and the Trump campaign is actually squeezed pretty tight on their budget for the home stretch. Fox has some newer up-and-coming talent that it can pay less and still get the high ratings, so it's just good business practice to cut back on the highest-paid talent.

Apparently true. Nail in coffin was likely a tweet that said in part "Trump will win."
