Reminder: in 2004, they destroyed Howard Dean's entire campaign for president because he let out an awkward excited scream during one of his own rallies. That's what sufficed to knock out a Democrat running for president 16 years ago. Today, Biden is the nominee despite clear dementia, almost half a century of gaffes, and a seemingly endless parade of creepy photos with women and children.

I remember that. I would have never voted for Howard Dean but it makes me wonder if he got railroaded because the corrupt Dem establishment wanted John Kerry, one of their own, to defeat dubya. I never really understood why all of a sudden, the entire Democrat party turned on Howard Dean just because he screamed AWEEEEAH in a moment of campaign excitement. It wasn't even a gaffe or totally inappropriate. Maybe that's why it's sort of embedded in everyone's minds because no one understood the over the top reaction to it.
