Can a flu cause a complete loss of smell and blunting of taste? Im told I have COVID but the drop in Flu cases this year leaves me suspicious.

That's right folks. I was diagnosed with COVID19 also known as Kung Flu. Ive had it since last week. Ive had flus worse than this. But I find the complete lack of smell disturbing. Anyone have a cold or flu that knocked out their sniffer?

I got sick and didnt lose taste, and smell was back the moment I could breath

heard covid is marked w/ lack of smell and taste

Its a dicey son of a bitch. Im actually only concerned about long term cardiac symptoms. Apperently covid kills heart muscle cells...But this is from the establishment. I just dont know.

So it would seem. Seems to be rare in flu. Or maybe not. That being said. Ive had flus worse than covid.
