Can a flu cause a complete loss of smell and blunting of taste? Im told I have COVID but the drop in Flu cases this year leaves me suspicious.

That's right folks. I was diagnosed with COVID19 also known as Kung Flu. Ive had it since last week. Ive had flus worse than this. But I find the complete lack of smell disturbing. Anyone have a cold or flu that knocked out their sniffer?

My airway is clear (i can breath through my nose) but yes I have congestion in my sinuses in the way back. Inflammation in the sinuses.
