Can a flu cause a complete loss of smell and blunting of taste? Im told I have COVID but the drop in Flu cases this year leaves me suspicious.

That's right folks. I was diagnosed with COVID19 also known as Kung Flu. Ive had it since last week. Ive had flus worse than this. But I find the complete lack of smell disturbing. Anyone have a cold or flu that knocked out their sniffer?

Two of my best friends caught it two months ago and still haven't got their taste and smell back! The doctor told them don't worry about it until it hits 3 months...

I hope this isn't the case for you! They are very sad.

When did this become a covid symptom? Did it use to be a chest cold? How freaking odd.
