Worse than cannabis imo is the restrictions on MDMA, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), mescaline (peyote), and dmt. The extremely few (they're HEAVILY limited) studies on these drugs show WILD promise for many of our common mental illnesses like clinical depression/anxiety and PTSD. It is 100% a crime against humanity that these drugs remain illegal and disallowed for study.
I've never done anything harder than weed so I can't say on other drugs. But weed is all organic and doesn't need anything more than water, soil and, sunlight. So it's fine it's my opinion and less harmful than alcohol, which destroys your liver.
I wouldn't be opposed to hearing out an argument for legalization of mushrooms though. Any articles you can link would be awesome.
Just to clarify, most of what I said was in terms of clinical study and the medical application of these compounds. In Oregon we have a measure for mushroom psychotherapy on the ballot as an opening to get some kind of prescription ability for psilocybin, there is a lot of literature on the ballot initiative site https://voteyeson109.org/. There is a lot to be said for its use in therapy particularly with PTSD and for veterans, I know several who have really benefited massively from similar things. That said this is obviously a bit one-sided, there is not only a financial incentive but also political games being played. I would have much preferred we used our ballot initiative system in the same way we did becoming the first to decriminalize marijuana back in 1973.
