Abortion is murder. Murder isn't always bad.

We murder enemies on the battle field.

We murder cows because they are tasty.

I have no problem murdering a product of force.

I do have a problem murdering a product of regret.

9
conservativeyuppie 9 points ago +9 / -0

If I were to show you a sonogram of a baby who was conceived consensually vs one conceived from rape, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Murder of the innocent is still murder, PERIOD. We kill enemies because of their actions and we kill animals for sustenance. Those situations are absolutely not comparable.

1
ObjectiveReality 1 point ago +1 / -0

Two things that look the same are not necessarily the same.

If I show you a photo of a politician that supports Roe and one that doesn't, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference either.

-3
pmurTJdlanoD -3 points ago +1 / -4

And how to do you reconcile that with the incentive the rapist gains of having a child born into the world, even if, let's say, the rapist gets the death penalty?

5
deleted 5 points ago +5 / -0
2
pmurTJdlanoD 2 points ago +2 / -0

We're on the same team, no need for name calling. But you ignored the legal argument of confounding life and consent as ObjectiveReality was discussing. If abortion in cases of rape is illegal, what's to stop a bunch of suicidal incels from going out and raping people knowing it guarantees they'll have progeny even if they themselves are sick of living and don't care about the ensuing death penalty? Especially given the massive importation of the third world into the West.

Here is a thought on the subject; I grew up before RvW. Then a woman had the child and gave it away. R.vW was founded on a Lie, and the woman who started all this, has been trying to undo her error.

The first option makes more sense than infanticide.

KiltedTailor 4 points ago +4 / -0

Ok, I hear your Points. Might I offer this? There is no requirement for her to turn to substance abuse. She might be raped because of substance abuse, or because that is how she is paying for 'it' And it does not HAVE to follow that the child, who knows nothing of this til he/she is circa 10-12 years old- 'is set up to fail'. And the adoption system has suffered, over the years, from Commie inspired policies of State and Federal governments. Witness gay adoption, who thought that was a good idea? Under the, I will put it at circa pre 1960's, adoption Laws, any couple wanting to adopt went thru a vetting process that would boggle anyone today who reads the list. And you are right, its a 50/50 chance right now- but even that is better than infanticide. It will be useful for you to note, In Brief, that I am a product of an unwed mother and the adoption system. And I graduated High School, attended "The South East Asia School of Land Warfare, and graduated, got married in short, did all the expected Civil Duties of a US Citizen. I was not 'set up to fail' by my mothers actions.

Last; that comedian with the TV show?? said it best; FAIR? Fair is where you go to eat cotton candy"

Thanks for mentioning this. It still boggles my mind how so many ignorant and arrogant people think they have the authority to determine whether someone else's life will be worth living. If my mother wasn't a super religious woman who's 100% against abortion, I wouldn't exist because all her doctors and my father's family were pressuring her to abort for "medical" reasons which turned out to be bunk.

KiltedTailor 1 point ago +1 / -0

And Back, Thanks for the reply, and welcome to the human race, Mom made the right choice

1
Carry_Your_Name 1 point ago +1 / -0

The only remotely legitimate justification for abortion I can think of is body image issue, that pregnancy would permenantly change the body shape, causing saggy boobs, stretch marks on the belly, loose vagina, hair loss, you can no longer fit in your skinny jeans and cheerleader uniforms, stuffs like that. I don't know how much of that is true though. Hope some lady who has had some experience could enlighten me a little on this issue.

0
KiltedTailor 0 points ago +1 / -1

Your theory falls to the earth, when you take a look a the First Lady. However, for many women, you are right. Thus its not a universal.

And that would be 'the worlds worst excuse' right at the start. And what happened to contraceptives??

2
Carry_Your_Name 2 points ago +2 / -0

Abortion is the last resolve when all other contraceptives have all failed. Even Margaret Sanger, planned murderhood's founder, was against abortion. I don't know whether she would have had a different opinion if the super vacuum machine had existed at her time, though. If you're talking about the high doses of estrogen and progestin in birth control, then yes, birth control pills have a lot of side effects, including hair loss and depression, but most women are not aware of that and would never attritbute those problems to the pill because muuuuuuhhhhh birth control is a sacred human right. I actually learned that from a recent episode of Sex wtih Emily, lol. I can't believe I'm sharing this here.

2
deleted 2 points ago +2 / -0
1
Carry_Your_Name 1 point ago +1 / -0

That is extremely rare. Less than 1% of all abortions. Even if a rape has really resulted in a pregnancy, then adoption is still an answer. You can even dump the baby at the fire department if you want.

1
MouthAgapeForBLMJizz 1 point ago +1 / -0 (edited)

I disagree very much with your points but I can definitely respect and understand the intent behind them. I really can.

Pro life believers believe it is a human life with a soul at conception. Yes it can and does happen so frequently these days. It’s because sex isn’t supposed to be like it is indoctrinated today. Yes sex is incredible. It’s great! But with a Monogamous partner. Ultimately I mean. Of course not everyone is going to do this but it should be the norm as opposed to what is encouraged and even taught in schools these days. The byproduct of having fucking sex is obviously pregnancy. So? Don’t have random continuous sex with people you don’t want to have children (due to the physical and biological aspect of having sex) with. For centuries the nuclear family has been the norm. And the best way to ensure the future of our species. No matter the time period, at its core it’s all the same. These days the nuclear family is literally being dismantled by admitted Marxist’s who hate America. Like actually detest the country they live in.

Abortion is all kinds of bad in all ways but the way our society is these days is responsible too. A move away from morality and God. Christianity is mocked and linked to bigotry, racism and hate. Wild random degenerate sex (trans, stupid other fucking gender shit) all of it is fucking stank nasty.

Edit- yes I’m a devout- but respectfully Open minded to listen- Christian/ Catholic. For many years I was agnostic. Cursing is something I need to cut down on but it gets the point across so fucking well sometimes.

5
LadyOfLorien 5 points ago +5 / -0

Not OP, but I firmly believe we shouldn't give children the death penalty for their father's crime.

4
Pede3 4 points ago +4 / -0

If the woman is able to handle it psychologically and carry the baby to term then put him/her up for adoption, that is great. I'd admire her strength.

-1
pmurTJdlanoD -1 points ago +1 / -2

While this argument makes sense, it also opens a dirty incentive for the rapist having a child born into the world even if the rapist gets the death penalty.

3
LadyOfLorien 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm not quite sure what you mean...

I'm saying that a child is innocent of their parents' crimes and shouldn't be punished. The criminal can still burn for all I care.

0
pmurTJdlanoD 0 points ago +1 / -1

We may be on different planes about morality and legality.

Morally I agree with you.

Do you think it should be illegal for a woman to abort a child that resulted from rape? That's what I'm referring to about unintended consequences - a rapist, knowing it is illegal to abort the child, could be incentivized to rape to have a child born even if the rapist is willing to take the death penalty for it.

2
LadyOfLorien 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think it should be illegal because I believe in the scientific definition of human life and our constitutional right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, regardless of how we are conceived.

0
pmurTJdlanoD 0 points ago +1 / -1

I agree with you, but struggle legally with the unintended consequence/perverse incentive that opens for the reason stated above.

-3
ObjectiveReality -3 points ago +2 / -5

But they carry the same genetic propensity for it

3
LadyOfLorien 3 points ago +3 / -0

Nope. Genetics isn't destiny.

-4
ObjectiveReality -4 points ago +1 / -5

Destiny isn't what you are killing it for.

You're doing it to end a genetic line with a proven propensity for rape.

1
LadyOfLorien 1 point ago +1 / -0

By that logic, everyone descended from Ghengis Khan should be a rapist.

2
Pede3 2 points ago +4 / -2

Women got abortions before Roe, and will continue afterwards.

Unpopular opinion, but I'd want the option if I were raped. I'm old enough that it may not be an issue much longer, and I'm grateful to never have to make that decision.

They know Joe is losing horribly and their cheating has been successfully hindered. Trump has a mandate. Democrats have nothing. Get fucked.

6

Now we just have to replace Roberts

1
Filo76 1 point ago +1 / -0

Don’t think it’s gonna happen. Only once in the history of the US has a justice been impeached. And it would take a 2/3rd majority in the senate I think.

2
Mr_Noh 2 points ago +2 / -0

Both houses are involved, just like with impeaching presidents.

It takes 2/3rds of the House to impeach, and 2/3rds of the Senate to convict.
