During college we went and worked with some community groups in Philly. Dirtiest city I’ve ever seen. At one point we were helping pick up trash in the street and we found hundreds of syringes, those little one hit container things, and too many used condoms (probably under ten). Also a microwave popcorn bag filled with vomit.
It won't last long though, because the funding has dried up for now. They're not spending money on professional rioters until after they lose the election.
Tuesday night will be NASTY. Antifa, and BLM are already traveling to Philly from all over the country. If they don't bring in the National Guard by early tomorrow, Philly is FUCKED.
If you watch the video, he wasn't running at the police with a knife, he was walking towards them with it held out in front of him. Cops retreated a few times and then just dropped him.
He was definitely close enough that he could close the distance on them quickly if he had suddenly charged, but from the video he hadn't done that yet. This one is a bit more borderline than some of the other police shootings.
Sounds like another incident where the criminal refused to comply and continued to advance toward police with a weapon. I don't give a crap if he was moving at a glacial pace: Drop your weapon and put your hands up isn't a difficult request.
He was close enough where that slower pace could quickly become a lunge with little to no time to react.

I realize them tearing down a statue might be good for the election, but damnit. I love this stuff too much. I visited there as a kid and have always wanted to go back now that I know so much more.
