The "allowed to shoot at rioters" applies on both sides. If Antifa shows up at a Trump rally to cause trouble, the Trump supporters should be justified opening fire. After a couple dozen dead Antifa, they'll stop doing that.
I wasn't being ironic. You should be legally allowed to shoot people engaging in gang violence.
