Actually, I live in Texas where a felon can legally own a gun in their home under state law after 5 years off paper. But I cant practice with it at a range because I cant leave my house with it and would be highly irresponsible for me to have it with no idea.

Seriously, though, call a lawyer and see if there's anything that might be possible since you were a minor and it was non-violent. Many states have processes to have felonies reduced after the fact or have your conviction expunged or even just sealed.

And don't overlook what the other guy said. Contact the Governor's Office and ask if he would be willing to pardon you for your 20+ year old crime that you have already served a sentence for and behaved ever since so you can once again exercise your rights as a citizen. You might be surprised.

I wasn't a minor. I was a teenager, but a legal adult.

Supreme Court ACB disagrees with you on that. That's a point of dissention between her and the Democrats. She doesn't interpret any Constitutional legality for non violent felons to be denied the 2nd amendment, and would in fact dissent the argument if it came before her, and she's not the only one.

A person could get a felony for pissing on the side of a building. I in fact kicked out spotlights on a model home with friends. Ive already stated I can legally own a gun in my state as long as it remains in my home at all times. Also, I don't remember ever stating or acting upset in this conversation.

I have no idea. I dont know how they relate to one another in comparison or anything. I mean legally if it's not a real gun I can carry it outside of the house.

Most ranges (at least around me) have rentals available, so you should at least be able to practice with something similar. Or find one you like as a rental and buy one of the same.
