If you like to buy books online, I don't recall ebay ever putting out leftist crap. Plus, books are often cheaper on ebay as oftentimes you don't have to pay for shipping & handling. If you're a student and use Amazon prime to get books quick, just email professors 2-3 weeks before the semester begins and you should be good. Ask them them which books are absolutely necessary and ask them around how long into the semester they'll be used. Some won't be necessary until halfway through. Also, some stores on ebay have a buy 3 get one free deal that amazon doesn't.

We all must decide what hill we should die on. I hate Bezos as much as any of you, but I am partially disabled, cannot shop, and live alone (by choice). Amazon sends me everything I need that others do not help me w (groceries and laundry as examples), and I have only to use the one site. I do Amazon smile as a sort of offering. The other thing I order through them is books which are either out-of-date or v hard to find. They are connected to a gazillion private independent booksellers from all over the world. All in one place.

So, although i wish it were a bit different, it is not. The other thing i do is buy ony what is made in the USA, unless it's impossible...and made in the USA is slowly becoming more common. I cannot, under the circumstances feel too sh!tty ab shopping Amazon, although I do respect everyone's decisions ab using their services. my $ .02
