It's very simple, if someone tells you that voting by mail is secure ask them if they would put $5000 in an envelope and drop it in a box. Then tell them there's at least a 2% chance of it being lost, would they still trust the post office? Of course they'll tell you it's not the same, but we all know the truth.
It's even more than that...because even if you trust that the mail would arrive, you are trusting the partisan poll worker on the other end to handle ot for you.
Therefor one should ask if they are comfortable sending $5,000 through the mail with a note requesting the person receiving send it back.

USPS clearly advises to NEVER send cash through the mail. It can get lost, misdelivered, chewed up in a sorting machine, or stolen by a postal worker.
