The 22nd amendment was a knee jerk reaction to FDR's 3+ terms and a dumb idea that forever makes the second term of any POTUS a lame duck. Change my mind.

Clinton did get Term 3. It just took 8 years, and we called it "The Bush Presidency." This is my point. The undermining of America is a trend that has been the policy of every pre-Trump administration for a very long time, even if they do not realize it as they carry it out.
Imagine a system where two people take turns, one builds a wall for an hour, and then one dismantles the wall for an hour. It's easier to break than it is to build, so naturally, the wall will keep getting smaller and smaller. Why did we agree to this system where the time to build is limited to an hour? The guy who's breaking the wall is BREAKING THE WALL, he doesn't care about the wall, he'll break it during our turn, when we're not looking. Why give him any time at all? If we have someone who says "I want to keep building, I'm not tired," for God's sake, let's get out of the way and let him keep building!
What’s to stop the current Supreme Court majority from telling Congress any attempt to politicize the Court by packing it, would be unconstitutional and not recognized? Seems like a legit way to shut this bullshit down for good.

Sometime you have to get a replacement to Trump. He would hit 80 if he's on his third term. However, it might be fun to do this just because of the salt. However, if you did not have the 22nd amendment, do you think obama would have lost in 2016 vs Trump?

According to wikipedia the average life expectancy for men in the U.S is 76.3 years and I would assume Trump would live longer, but the light that shines twice as bright and all that. I would hope that he would be able to retire and overlook the result of his achievement. I'm not saying he couldn't do 4 more years, I'm saying 8 more years would be pushing it.
And I just think that if we got 6 more years of Donald Trump and then 2 years of President Pence, I'd be much happier with that than "Oh well, my turn is over," and we set the precedent that the Left can spend 8 years tearing the country apart as an obstructionist menace and get its way. If they want to change the rules to literally end this nation, I say we change the rules to literally save it from them.
But it is hard to win against a sitting president. If 2016 was Trump vs Obama, Trump may not have won. The term limit also works as a reset, forcing popular people out.
I'd argue that the 22nd Amendment is unconstitutional anyway. It abridges life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, not only of that of the office holder but that of the American public, to install an arbitrary time limitation on a public servant's capacity to serve the public in a singular office under the hospices that someone who is too old or sick can have a disastrous impact on the nation if they die in presidential office (yet somehow everything is fine if a congressman or judge bites it as we've seen in the current administration).
We should talk more about senate and congress term limits instead. Doesn't seem fair between a balance of power perspective.

Disagree. Two terms has been the limit that every American president except for FDR followed. It was only codified into the Constitution 70 years ago, precisely so such a thing would never happen again. It's part of our Republic's limits on government power.
I love our president,, but let's face the facts. He's old. Sure, I think that he has the vitality for a second term. But at the end of his second term, he'll be 78 years old. I think that we should be focusing more on finding a successor for the 2024 election.

The Constitution doesn't believe in the power of the Constitution, it believes in the power of the Rule of Law. And the Rule of Law has been weaponized against the citizen whose unalienable, God Given Rights are being trampled. Because that Constitution is being misinterpreted or flat out ignored by Leftists who create lesser, Unconstitutional "laws," to remake the nation in their image.
I'm all for clinging to the Constitution AS WRITTEN, but that is not what is being done anymore. So, until the Constitution is once again enshrined by our elected servants as THEIR RULER, and they continue to try and act as if THEY rule over us, then we must do what is necessary to return America to what is was intended to be by the framers of that Constitution.
