Another person could probably articulate an argument to elaborate on this position. I cannot. But it hit me like an epiphany yesterday and I wanted to share it with everyone here.

The electoral college protects against genocide. It's not just a compromise between states when the country was founded. When leftists bitch about it, you can be certain that their dreams of unilateral policies have led to many genocides in other nations that did not have something like an electoral college. Nations like China and Russia -- and every other communist horror-story.

Without it, we'd already be marching towards communism. Tens of millions would already be dead, with many more enslaved and tortured.

Use this assertion if you find yourself talking to friends and family about the electoral college. It is designed to be a hedge against genocide.

Always has been.

Our system of government might be a bit slow, but our Constitution and Republic are so great that it’s outlasted all other Constitutions and protected us from being overrun by communists. Look at all the other weak nations that have came and went while we stand tall
