Well over 99% if TAKEN DAILY. So if you’re not disciplined enough to actually take the medicine daily without missing doses, the effectiveness drops a lot. If the woman is aware of her cycles and uses secondary techniques (avoid intercourse, “pull out technique,” or condoms) during highest risk times, that number is much better.

This exactly. My wife and I were together for a decade before we had a child and she never took birth control. We never even had a close call. It’s really easy to not have a baby.

Well...My husband and I were also together for a decade before having our first. I took pills the whole time and never had a close call. I got pregnant on our first try, as soon as I stopped taking birth control.
