During the Korean War our Marines, probably Army too, used to take captured chinese rifles which were often Moisins and keep them in their positions with them. Sometimes the Marines might have 6 or more rifles in there, because the bolt actions would operate when the temps dropped way below zero and they had bayonets and so when their weapons jammed or they ran out of ammo, grab the Moisins as the fookers come in.
Some good history describing a little of that horrific combat directed at the 1st Marines.
It’s a Mosin 91/30 with a straight bolt handle. Deadly reliable weapon. Has a forward-mounted scope but I doubt it’s a scout scope. Could do some damage.
It's in a scout rifle position, forward like that. I have a couple rifles rigged that way, I have very bad eyes but even for me it works ok. In fact I like it on the rifles mounted that way, I acquire quickly and have good peripheral vision.
It isn't necessarily good for precision shooting but the scopes I'm using are low powered anyhow, using a 3X on one and a 5X on the other, fixed power.
I thought I'd seen most everything but pink/red haired trannies toting Moisins is new to me. I've been charged by feral hogs in the woods, had a mama gator chase me once but if that thing popped out of the bushes I'd probably laugh so hard I might forget to magdump.
I don't think that's a low powered scope though. My career has unfortunately required that I acquaint myself with this type of person and they are comfortable sharing their personal hobbies. MN's are their rifle of choice because they are 1. about 80 bucks and can't afford the iconic AK and 2. used by communists to kill nazis. Universally, they are incompetent marksmen (did I just assume gender?) and if they have money will load up their shitty AK with useless tacticool features.
I shoot at 1K yards plus for fun and for mag dumps I prefer Eotech.
Yeah that doesn't look like a low powered scope, trying to focus that in the heat of the moment might be a problem for the doofus.
I 'used' to be able to ring steel at 600, haven't done that in years. My rifles are capable of more than my eyes these days. I'm zeroed at 200, my Pro Tip for the BLM terrorists and antifas is to not approach me closer than that.
I'm too cheap to spring for an Eotech, I do hope that doesn't become necessary as my epitaph some day. KEK!
That's a nice rifle, I'm jelly. I sold mine a while back, trying to thin the herd a bit and I befriended a Vietnam vet that lusted mightily for it so I gave him a great deal on it.
I have really bad vision too, it's a challenge but I could spot that PNW sasquatch pretty far off. Unnaturally colored hair, might as well be wearing blaze orange :-) I'm working on loads to go out to a mile.
Imma sucker for the whole M1 family, it's a disease.
I've hunted a couple times with the M1A, short mag, took two whitetail deer. Have shot several coyotes and hogs with it too but it's too heavy really, still it's my favorite. It lives mostly in the safe with it's Dad, Grandpa and cousins.
A mile....damn. If you make that shot it would be a Thing, wouldn't it. I was proud of 600...
I never got around to loading my own, but with today's prices I wish I had.
The objective lens is too large for a low powered optic. If I had to guess it's a 3-12x40. By no means a high powered optic, but a pretty standard range for hunting, and useful out to about 600 yards.
It is mounted wayyyyy too far forward to get proper eye relief, and their field of view through that scope would be the size of my dick (see: really tiny).
The position of that scope paired with the straight bolt seems like a real knuckle buster, mosins are well known for needing a bit of force to open the bolt (I bring a hammer to the range when I shoot mine). If your only using a bolt action, at least get a Mauser action or something that wasn’t outmatched by ww1
You ain't... a woman. 🤣
Your terms are acceptable.
Statistically give it time and it'll take itself out.
I thought that's what it was advertising.
It hurt itself in its confusion.
Looks like a Mosin-Nagant or an SKS, to grainy to tell.
Good, reliable guns at least. But you only have 10 rounds.
My Mosin-Nagant M44 Carbine only holds 5 rounds. I believe most Mosins have the same capacity.
I think it's holding a Mosin though, but you're right - too lo-rez to know for certain.
Good and reliable if you maintain them.
Where that’s been and whether xir actually knows you need to maintain it leaves the reliability factor up in the air.

One of the Marine Corps finest hours, despite the fact General Macaurthur left them to be massacreed by a couple hundred thousand chinks.

That scope is so far forward it's probably not even functional.

Eotechs are for ghey bois. Aimpoint is the only acceptable dot.
(Just kidding fren. Send it)

Yeah I agree it's messed up but was jes sayin' the forward mount can work with the right rifle/scope. Especially in the woods, closer ranges.
Nobody wants you alive or dead, I don’t get it
They invented the 300 Winchester magnum specifically so honest God fearing Americans didn't have to get within 800 yards of that thing.
Oh come on man! You can take a 300wm way further than that.
Jogger fodder.
Lied on the yellow form about being adjudicated mentally defective.
Alive or dead we are leaving you there. Oh yeah your safety is on. Haha made you look. Bang.
I accept your terms!!!
I will have 15 rounds downrange by the time he fires twice with that old fucked up bolt action rifle.
They'll figure it out eventually. Or not. I really don't care.
Nobody wants to take you in any way dear, and that is your problem.
... that's a dude.
+1, serious case of man hands.
Nobody wants to take them period. Frankly, I was happier not knowing this person existed.
That dude has more 5'o clock shadow than I do
Please keep the purple hair so your not hard to find in the snow.
Why the fuck would anyone take that thing alive
41% chance that thing won’t make it through the end of the year
Deal
It should go back to being a cheesemaker, and hopefully die a natural death, which for those people is suicide.
"I have 5 rounds and a back up 5 rounds, and this thing will break my shoulder"
Not taking her (?) at all.
I need eye bleach.
Photo looks old. I bet xir already offed xirself.
It's okay, if he's a leftie, he probably hasn't fixed that bolt, meaning he has one shot.
Mosins are notorious for bolt issues.
