For any non-Canadians here, allow me to provide a legend to how our parties are colour-coded:

  • Blue = Conservative Party
  • Red = Liberal Party
  • Orange = New Democrat Party (NDP) further left than the Liberal party
  • Light Blue = Bloc Quebecois, the Quebec separatist party.
  • Green = Green Party (basically eco-communists)

Also, believe it or not, this map shows that the Liberals (red) won the election!

I didn't forget them (I voted for them!), I just didn't include them because they didn't win any seats and therefore did not appear on this map.

And yeah, Liberals got 33% of the popular vote and won... Conservatives got 34%.
