I'm in San Diego and I literally see my area improving and a LOT less gangsters. There was a homeless migrant grilling at a park the other day. First time I've seen one in a year. To be fair I haven't been to the Home Depot in a minute. So maybe it's just my area I'm noticing but pre-covid, it was improving greatly.

I am in northern Nevada and I also see a huge improvement. And I also have observed that the DACA folks have been a lot quieter lately. No loud mariachi music and 50 person parties in residential areas. They know Trump is going to do something about DACA.

I read an article, pre-9/11, that seems to have been scrubbed from the internet. I want to say it was from Douglas or Bisbee.
It detailed Mexican citizen, living in Mexico, using a shared PMB in Arizona, for school registration, unemployment, food stamps, etc. The owner of the mailbox store commented there was like 20-something families using this PMB.
At the beginning of the month, they would all trek across the border, get their checks and vouchers, go to the check cashing store in the same shopping center, use their food stamps at the grocery and then all trek back.
The kids were all registered for school through that PMB address. I'm sure, post 9/11 some measure of this manner of fraud was abated, but all manner of security measures makes every opportunity of fraud less a likelihood.

I wish they had taken the time to develop an automated machine for laying fence. They have very specialized machines for building concrete bridges and for laying track. They could build a machine that rolls along that pipe and metal plates are fed into along with concrete that digs a trench, pours concrete, sets up the poles and the see through plates between them. The machine would roll along slowly but steady 24 / 7 spitting out and endless fence.
Have you seen how big the wall is? That machine would be massive and expensive

Their current construction method is hard to improve on. They basically dig a deep trench and then brace a pre-fabbed section of the wall that kind of looks like a comb facing downward. Fill the trench with concrete and wait for it to set before removing the temporary bracing. Ridiculously efficient.
