It should be massively illegal.

Monopoly laws never covered for the potential of owning corporations within multiple fields that all promote self aggrandizement in an ostensibly non-competitive way.

If all those corporations were owned by different people and working together it would be a RICO charge, but since they are all owned by the same person it's somehow easy to skirt the charge since you can't conspire with yourself.

Great post and a topic I’ve been thinking about. We have a lot of work to do.

Bloomberg is the shadiest of the bunch. Financial analysis services running a news organization that also serves as front for publishing Washington think tank pieces and one that actively tries to shade their coverage for access to foreign markets, especially China. Running TV/Print news is pretty much just a side effect.

I haven't bought from Amazon in 15 years. They're a terrible company and I think people who fund them are equally as terrible.

They all did. Economic Engineering, there's a whole book on it floating around the conspiracy sites for decades and it's obviously real, because you can see it in action.

Exactly. It's not like ads pay for themselves, it's an investment in propaganda production.

You never know, maybe under new management, some of the on-air talent would turn based af. That would hilarious. Imagine Anderson Cooper going full pro-Trump

I think we should all pitch in to purchase it, fire all the shitty people, and then staff it with INFOWARS reporters.

And OAN people, get them in on it, some kind of merger...

Sad to say, but the CNN brand will carry weight forward. Imagine the unaware airport people watching... 'Wow, This doesn't Sound like fake news.'

Won't happen. Cuomo's a butthead and won't flip because of his brother, but he's the least leftist looking person on that network. The rest are soy latte losers.

"The Trump Organization should buy it! Who else would chip in?"

I'm in! Let's do it. - We'll keep the CNN, but rename it the Constitutional News Network

They've been trying to sell for like a year. I don't think Bezos will buy it. They already have ESPN, which is pushing their woke politics.

2
Sneker 2 points ago +2 / -0

I thought Disney owns ABC & ESPN.

2
jubyeonin 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes, but Amazon is packaging them too. They have an ecosystem like Hulu that uses other networks.

Nice.
They can push the narrative to keep things shutdown.
Meanwhile Amazon doubles their profit, and small businesses are crushed.

Break up Amazon and Google NOW

Trump should buy them and cut the news folks salaries back to minimum wage.

Imagine buying it, and returning it to it's original roots. All news, 24 hrs/day. 24 hr crawl update. You could own the cable news media.

I actually hope Bezos buys it. normies will start to catch on.

media magnates used to lurk in the shadows, show some amount of intelligence. tech magnates are stupidly doing the opposite. backlash. let's have it.
